What was the highlight of Hotel Hacienda Oaxaca

Great stay with clean pool, on-site restaurant and beautiful grounds.

Great property, with classic jallosy windows, well-maintained and quiet. Rooms were large and clean, reception was tentative and welcoming. Pool looked really clean, but right next to the restaurant (good to sit eat and let your friends/family play in it!). Housekeeping was REALLY friendly and efficient, as well. Not in a walkable area (near highway and kind of industrial area), but is easy to find for Didi or Rappi if you need a ride.

Nothing, everything was as expected, or exceeded expectations. From welcoming, check-in, the stay, cleanliness, to check out. Staff were very kind and helpful at the front desk, the bellhop, and housekeeping! No complaints or notes.

A can't-go-wrong stay!

ALL staff were incredibly friendly and helpful. Facilities were clean, comfortable, and inviting. Helped my wife's first trip to Oaxaca exceed expectations. Hope to stay there again on my next trip!

Being "picky" ... There was no bottled water in the room, but restaurant staff was helpful in us purchasing some. Pillows were a little flat.

Nice cost X benefit

The amenities and place are formidable. We were really near the central part (not enough to go by foot, because we have 2 kids), but indeed is really accessible.

Last day, I had to give the car keys to the vallet, due to the amount of cars in parking lot. When I was getting it, it was outside the hotel, with a scratch in the door. Living 3 years in Mexico, this was the first time I left the car with a vallet, and this happened. Also, they do not have a juice jar in the restaurant menu. When my wife asked for it, they said that they could do it, but they charged the amount of cups that can fit in the jar. This resulted in a orange juice jar costing more than 460 MXN. Not even a clericot jar can reach this value!

Professionally Managed City Hotel

Professionally Managed Hotel. A good option for one or two night in Oaxaca, 15- 20 min to the airport. Free Parking supportive and friendly staff.

Close to a main street and so pretty loud all the time, especially very early in the morning. Quite large hotel without personal charm.

Nice place with great location near downtown

It was really nice and clean, the hotel location was great, but little noisy because of the buses outside,

The food at the restaurant wasn’t so great, the pool was super cold

Very good and comfy hotel 10 minutes drive from the center

The rooms are spacious, sparking clean, and have very comfortable beds. The gardens are very well maintained, as well as the swimming pool.

Staff could be a more friendly and customer oriented. They called us back in our room 2 minutes after having left the swimming pool with a towel from the pool, same for charging us for a cup of hot water. Food at the restaurant is average / poor (use it only for convenience if you do not want to get out of the hotel)

Pool, food.

Water collecting in WC floor area difficult to avoid. Should drain to shower area. Rooms in front of the avenue are noisy during the night due to constant traffic.

The best of Mexican hospitality!

The staff were incredibly friendly and helpful, nothing was too much trouble. The rooms were a good size with very comfortable beds. The decor was a little dated but it was in no way a deal breaker. The food was very good & not too expensive at all. Some great local dishes on offer. It was so good to be able to cool off in the pool after a long day walking the city. And they really decorated the foyer & restaurant areas beautifully for Day of the Dead, adding to the size of the offering shrine each day. I would definitely stay again!

If you’re sensitive to noise, you could hear traffic from the busy main road but with earplugs in, I slept soundly.

Wonderful

Stayed here for Day of the Dead, and location was very close to el centro. Maybe 1-2km walk to downtown, or just a quick cab ride. The rooms were quiet and well furnished. All the staff were very friendly and accommodating, always greeting us with smiles and very helpful. The restaurant makes yummy food with very quick service, and they also have room service (however, we didn't use that, lol). The pool was a nice touch, but with Day of the Dead festivities, we just didn't have time to try it.....maybe next time, lol. All in all, we had a great stay and enjoyed our time at "the Hacienda" ️

The only thing we would like to see changed is the addition of a mini fridge in the rooms. Oaxaca is quite warm, and it would be nice to have cold water on hand all the time. Other than that, we had a great stay!!
